And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything seems like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know your alive
Quinn shifted in the seat with discomfort. He still had to get used to driving long distances, and even with three years of intense physiotherapy, he still hadn’t managed to master the art of long distance driving. It was actually pretty funny, cause often back home, he had drive into town, and that was the best of an hour’s drive from the farm. Not wanting anyone’s sympathy, he had done it with a smile, and just swallowed the pain with a smile. Just as he was doing at the moment. He had been in Adelaide only a short week, but it felt like forever. Quinn also knew that he would have to find the local stable, the reason for his trip.
He travelled at a constant speed, absorbing his surroundings, and if he got lost, then he savoured it. Quinn was dressed casually in knee length shorts, a polo t-shirt, and flops. His eyes were shaded by a pair of aviator sunglasses. As he drove, he noticed the land in all her beauty. Then he came across the place that he was looking for. Kiah Equestrian Centre. Well, the place looked respectable enough.
Horses dotted pastures, and once again he thought of home, where steeplechasers were in their fields. So similar, yet so different. He drew up in front of the barns and looked out to see if anyone was there. He got out of the truck, and stretched. The shorts were definitely not his first option in clothing, as he had various scars on his left leg from all his operations. One or two crossed each other, some were a bit longer, but in the end it all depended on where they had to reattach muscle and remove fragments of bone.
