STABLE OWNER'S GUIDE xox
Planning xoxo
Before you fill out our form, plan your stable. Here are some point to consider:
- Will it have a specific discipline? (eg western, stock, dressage, jumping ect.)
- What facilities will you need? (arenas, stables, paddocks ect.)
- Will you allow breeding in your stable?
- What about your school horses? How many will there be?
- What will make your stable unique?
Once you have an answer for all these questions, you can head over to the Stable Owner Registration and start filling out the form.
Filling out the Form xoxo
Lets walk through filling out the form. Here is the form:
Your name;
Your character's name;
Proof of Activity;
Stable Name;
Region;
Stable Description;
Main Discipline;
Facilities; Facility here; Description here
Other Information;
So lets go through this section by section.
First Section xoxo
Your name;
Your character's name;
Proof of Activity;
The first two are simple. Your name and the name of the character who will own and run the stable. Simple. The next one is a little tricky. You need to supply a link to at least one COMPLETED thread and one CURRENT thread. We will also check your recent posts.
Second Section xoxo
Stable Name;
Region;
Stable Description;
This one is also pretty simple. Think of a cool name for your stable. The region is the region where your CHARACTER already is. No making a stable in a region completely different from the one where you character resides. The stable description needs to be at least 100 words explaining what your stable is about, what facilities you have and why your stable is unique! Easy!
Third Section xoxo
Main Discipline;
Facilities; Facility Here; description here
Other Information;
Right, this is the trickiest section, but it isn't overly hard. The first question is easy. Just list the main discipline of your stable. If none, just say all or none. Then the next question is the hardest, so pay attention. First of all, copy and paste the 'Facility Here; description here' part as many times as you need. Then you need to fill out the form. Easy you say. I agree. Remember to think about it though. Dont just put Stable; A large barn with lots of stalls, a tack room, a hay shed and an office.
Put something interesting like: Resident's Stable; A two storey barn featuring 20 stall that open out onto a large concrete courtyard. Upstairs the feed and tack rooms can be found as well as the office where stable owner John Doe can be found. This is where the resident's horses are kept. The school horses are found in the School Horse Stable.
A stable with that kind of description is more like to be accepted than the first. Take your time and fill out the form properly. It's not overly hard to do.
The final question is easy. As long as you put the words coolio, coolies, awesomesauce or pie you'll be great. This is to prove that you have read this.
Running Your Stable xoxo
Now comes the best part, running your stable. Each stable should have an office where residents sign in, with some kind of form to sign in with. Make it simple, like:
Character name
No. Of Horses
Horses' Names
Stables with huge forms are often frowned upon. No one likes forms. There is enough forms in this place already, don't make your's huge and lengthy! In your office you also need a list of vacant and occupied stalls. If your stable fills up,k you have the option of keeping horses in a paddock with adequate shelter, expanding your stable, or turning residents away. However, I suggest either of the first two options. To expand your stable, simply PM a staff member with the updated info and we will change it for you. Simple. We don't charge a thing, simply because we don't think you should have to pay for your residents.
There is a tiny upkeep fee of 20 coins per 3 months you own your stable. This is to pay for vet checks, farrier and dentist, as well as matanience. You can make 20 coins in two posts, so it's hardly anything! To pay this simply post in the correct area of the bank!
The next thing is the riding aspect of your stable. You may choose to run shows, training clinics, fun days or even lessons. You must have some kind of event every year, otherwise your stable will be considered inactive and will be deleted. However, if you feel you cannot run some kind of event on your own, you may collaberate with another stable, be it from your region or another, and have some kind of friendly rivalry contest between the two stables. This counts as an event.
Finally you have the Annual Show. The event each year may be used as a lead up towards the Annual Show (AS). Each stable MUST have a representative present at the show. Even if they only compete in one event, they must be present. There are prizes for the stable with the most participants, the most wins, the mosts places and the most lasts, so in the end there will be prizes for nearly everyone, so i suggest you encourage everyone at your stable to get involved!
Summing Up xoxo
Read everything and it should make sense. There's no way to sum all that up. If you are having trouble, PM me and I'll be more than happy to help.
